At your challenge/adventure activity area
Many of our accreditation standards relate to this program area. Through the accreditation process we have addressed such issues as qualifications of the area supervisor, verification of the instructor skills, choice of equipment and equipment maintenance, operational procedures, safety orientation, and protective headgear. Accreditation is extremely valuable as a means of keeping our staff grounded in solid health and safety practices. The accreditation process requires us to evaluate our practices on a regular basis; to develop risk-management plans when appropriate; and to use critical thinking.

At your waterfront area
Many of our accreditation standards relate to the water front. Through the accreditation process we have addressed such issues as qualifications of the area supervisor and lifeguards, lookouts, a buddy system, supervision ratios, safety regulations, and emergency procedures. Accreditation is extremely valuable as a means of keeping our staff grounded in solid health and safety practices. The accreditation process requires us to evaluate our practices on a regular basis; to develop risk-management plans when appropriate; and to use critical thinking.

At your horseback riding area
Many of our accreditation standards relate to this program area. Through the accreditation process we have addressed such issues as qualifications of the area supervisor and riding staff, supervision ratios, riding equipment, classification of horses and riders, riding apparel, and safety orientation. Accreditation is extremely valuable as a means of keeping our staff grounded in solid health and safety practices. The accreditation process requires us to evaluate our practices on a regular basis; to develop risk-management plans when appropriate; and to use critical thinking.

At your health center
Many of our accreditation standards relate to this area. Through the accreditation process we have addressed such issues as qualifications of health center staff including first aid and emergency care personnel, medical emergencies including specific routes to treatment facilities, treatment procedures, collecting health histories from campers and staff, dealing with special medical needs, medication management, and dealing with health care away from camp. Accreditation is extremely valuable as a means of keeping our staff grounded in solid health and safety practices. The accreditation process requires us to evaluate our practices on a regular basis; to develop risk-management plans when appropriate; and to use critical thinking.
